Through the field trip to the Ma Shi Chau Geopark, students appreciated features such as sedimentary rocks and the tombolo, learned about Hong Kong’s geological development, and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of landform conservation and sustainable development.
2025-11-26The Inauguration Ceremony for Student Leaders including Student Union, Houses, Prefects, Student Counselors, Student Librarians, Fellowship, Academic Societies and Community Youth Club was successfully held. The ceremony commenced with an opening speech by Principal Wong, focusing on the themes of “Mindset, Passion and Capability”. To position Hong Kong’s younger generation at the forefront of creating a more sustainable future, Civic Exchange created HongKong2050isNow Young Environment Ambassador (YEA) Programme, which runs every summer. This initiative fosters greater awareness of climate change among Hong Kong’s youth and equips the next generation of climate leaders with comprehensive knowledge in climate science, design-thinking skills, and invaluable hands-on experience. participants will be grouped into teams to implement 3-month long sustainable projects. By promoting knowledge of national territory, natural resources, and human geography, the competition significantly enhances Hong Kong youth’s understanding of China’s territorial landscape and their sense of national sovereignty. Authorized by the Publicity and Education Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources, the competition is being held in Hong Kong for the first time. It has received strong support from the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department of the HKSAR, the Intangible Cultural Heritage Office of the Leisure and Cultural Services Department, the Hong Kong Museum of History, the Hong Kong Federation of Education Workers, China Life Insurance (Overseas) Company Limited, and the China Education Exchange (Hong Kong and Macao) Center.
