Dr. Choi Yuk-lin, Secretary for Education, visited our school on 17 December. Principal Wong introduced the school’s features and briefed her on its development and achievements in innovation and technology education. During the visit, four groups of students presented their innovation and technology projects. Dr. Choi engaged with the students, offering guidance and constructive suggestions. In addition, Dr. Choi met with school managers and parent representatives to gain insights into the school’s overall development.
2025-12-18The recent CPU Blood Donation Day was a success, featuring enthusiastic participation from both teachers and students. This initiative emphasized community engagement and the critical importance of blood donation, ensuring vital supplies for those in need while creating a memorable experience for all involved.
Through the field trip to the Ma Shi Chau Geopark, students appreciated features such as sedimentary rocks and the tombolo, learned about Hong Kong’s geological development, and gained a deeper understanding of the importance of landform conservation and sustainable development.
The Inauguration Ceremony for Student Leaders including Student Union, Houses, Prefects, Student Counselors, Student Librarians, Fellowship, Academic Societies and Community Youth Club was successfully held. The ceremony commenced with an opening speech by Principal Wong, focusing on the themes of “Mindset, Passion and Capability”. Each head student leader expressed their honour of this appointment and shared their commitment to serving the school and their fellow schoolmates in the upcoming academic year.
In the “2025–2026 Tai Po and North District Inter-school Athletics Competition,” our school claimed both the boys’ and girls’ overall championships, finishing 59 and 45 points ahead of two other schools. The girls’ team also successfully retained their championship title. Congratulations to all athletes, teachers, and coaches of the athletics team!
The Second Rookie Debating Cup (Secondary School Division) distinguishes itself from traditional debate competitions by requiring each team to include at least two junior secondary debaters in every match. The competition aims to nurture young debaters and provide junior students with valuable experience in debating competitions. This year marks our school’s first participation in the event, and we are honored to have advanced to the Top 16. The competition encourages our senior secondary debaters to guide their junior teammates—embodying the spirit of “passing on the torch” in debate. The 2025 Secondary School Debate Competition – “Fung Shau Yu Cup”, jointly organized by the Y's Men's Club of North West, Yuen Long Town Hall, and Lingnan University since 1998. It provides a meaningful platform for secondary school students to broaden their horizons through debating current social issues. This year’s theme, “Hong Kong’s Population Policy and Prospects,” invites participating teams to reflect on the effectiveness of population policies while envisioning future aspirations for the city. We are proud to announce that our school has successfully advanced to the quarterfinals of this prestigious competition. Our students recently took part in the “Building Safety Quiz Competition” organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. Through the competition they learned more about the work of surveyors which deepened their understanding of building safety, helping them appreciate the importance of maintaining the community safety. Since its launch in 2018, the Hong Kong Debating Premier League has stood out as one of the most competitive platforms in Hong Kong. Unlike traditional knockout tournaments, the League features seven matches each season, with rankings determined by accumulated wins and losses. The added promotion and relegation system makes every round a true test of skill, strategy, and perseverance. Our school has proudly claimed the championship twice—in 2018 and again in 2023. This year, our talented debaters have once more risen to the challenge, achieving remarkable success by securing the first runner-up title.
